Hey everyone! Here's another custom card [with envelope] I made for a friend. It's a 'Congratulations' Wedding card & I based it off the actual [red & gold themed] wedding invitation that my friend had gotten. Unlike other cards I've made, I wanted to add an extra element to it so I made it a three-fold card, measuring out to be 8" x 3.5" folded.
NOTE: Unfortunately, I only have photos taken from my iPhone because I forgot to bring my camera at my parent's place, where the card was made. So I apologize for some of the blurry looking pictures.

For the front of the card, I added two main elements: a label & a flower piece. For the label, I made an embossed vellum label & put it on top of another embossed chipboard piece. The labels are then outlined with either gold embossing or a white gel pen. The other aded element are the multi-layered flowers. I adhered 4 flowers on top of each other & added 3 red gems in the middle with mini-glue dots. I included 2 pieces of folded ribbon underneath the flowers as 'leaves'. Both embellishments are then adhered on top of black cardstock with gold border stickers.

When the card is opened once, you see the same theme is followed from the front of the card. On the right side is where you write the names of the lovely couple & the name that the card is from. And on the left side, I made it just as a decorative piece to match the right side, with an addition of two double-layered flower embellishments.

If you open the card once more, you'll see that I added a big element to the card that I've never done before. Usually when you go to weddings, instead of buying the married couple a gift, you decide to give money or a check. And knowing that my friend was doing the latter, I decided to add a little 'money envelope' into the card. That way, the money is safe, it won't fall out of the card & it makes the overall card look pretty. I decided to make the envelope out of vellum so that the money is seen & taken out before the card is throw away [or put to the side].
The left side of the card is where you can add your own personal message. Because it is black cardstock, you will need a gel pen [possibly white or gold to match the card] because regular pen won't be seen.

I decided to handmake the main envelope with vellum paper so that the card & its 'Congratulations' label can be seen from the inside as well. I wanted the couple to get a sneak peek before it's unveiled. The only thing I added to the envelope was the gold border stickers (I am totally in love with these!)
I love this card because it's 'petite' & very detailed. Also the color scheme can be any colors you want, so if you know what the couple's wedding theme colors are, I can easily use those colors to make this card. The embossing colors can also either be gold or silver to add that big 'bling' like factor.
