Mom: dating? what's that? [asking in Gujurati]
Me: you know.. is she talking to guys or like going out to places with a guy?
Mom: oh no I don't think so.. that's what dating is?
Me: yes mom (lol)
Mom: ... are you dating?
Me: hahaha no mom I'm not. I'll let you know if I do & if it ever gets serious with a guy.
Mom: ok good.
How cute is my mom? I used to dread having talks with her about relationships & life. But now that I'm getting older, I'm trying to understand her more & see her perspective. I'll admit, it's sometimes hard to see her point of view & we still have our moments of arguing but we're heading to a good place, one conversation at a time.
