WEEKLY RECAP

I can't remember when I actually started incorporating breakfast into my daily eating habits. Since I was very little, I rarely ate in the mornings. I always felt nausous or full from the night before & would just stick to a glass of water or orange juice. Now I can't start my day without cereal or coffee in my system. I'm trying to get into a healthy habit & hopefully soon enough, add fruit or veggies into my morning routine. Hands down my favorite b-fast fruit has been berries. It tastes good & adds a pop of color to my bland looking honey nut Cheerios.

I love when my sister gets creative with her cooking. Almost 99.9% of the time when she tries to make something new or from scratch, it comes out tasting delicious! This time she made bruschetta with our usual chicken spaghetti dish. The fresh tomatoes and onions on baked Italian bread completed the meal perfectly.

Summer's officially done yet the weather has still been nice enough for us to go outside & take in the fresh warm air. My favorite part of the day is to go out to the back porch and watch the sun set. Because I live by the river, I'm always looking out for this beautiful scene & taking in all the pretty colors mother nature has to offer.

Everyone has some kind of unique and/or weird hobby & mine happens to be collecting stationary. I have tons of pens & notebooks sitting in shelves & drawers. I recently added three notebooks to this crazy addiction. One happens to be a 365 day organizer from Morning Glory. It's perfect to write down my important daily to-do list & has a stand to sit on so I can look at it any time I'm procrastinating. I also brought two thick notebooks, one blank & the other lined. I haven't decided what I want to use them for but I'm leaning towards one for card sketches & the other for blog/card ideas.

After years of self pampering, I finally got the chance to get a professional massage. My sister purchased a gift certificate (from spafinder.com) for my mom two years ago & after all the complaining, we booked appointments for all three of us to a local salon/spa. Since it was our first time getting a professional one, we chose the hour long hot stone massage. The whole experience was amazing. I wish I had done this earlier! I couldn't even believe the hour went by so fast & I'm already thinking about the next time I want to go back. The therapist I had got rid of most of the tension on my neck & shoulders, my two biggest problem areas. After the session was over, I immediately asked for her business card so that I could go to her for my next future treatments.
I'm off to a very lazy Sunday - laying in bed, watching old episodes of Melrose Place (the old school show), & wrapping myself up in a cozy blanket. I'm hoping to get in some work before the day ends. Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!
xoxo
